Katerina Sanders Schmidt
Katerina Schmidt is a Genealogist specializing in Polish research who recently completed an internship with the Family History Library and is working towards obtaining her accreditation through the International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogists (ICAPGen). Prior to graduating from Brigham Young University with a minor in genealogy, she spent three months in Poland completing an internship with FamilySearch and gained valuable experience from working with the records in person. She has ancestors from all over Eastern Europe and finds the diversity of Polish genealogy an exciting field of study. Having graduated in 2021, she has enjoyed spending the past year honing her skills and is excited to share step-by-step instructions on how to research using the Polish State Archives website.
