2024 FEEFHS Annual Conference
The Foundation for East European Family History Studies is pleased to announce its 2024 Annual Conference, an in-person event held from August 6 - 9 in the heart of Salt Lake City, Utah. Preceding the Conference itself on August 5 are several optional intensive workshops. Centered at the Plaza Hotel, access to the world-famous FamilySearch Library is easy--it's next door to the official Conference hotel!
Instruction for Eastern European genealogists and family history researchers will occur over four days with eight interest-area tracks. Topics will encompass countries and regions of Central and Eastern Europe, including areas of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire, German Empire, Russian Empire/USSR and more. Other topics will include DNA, minority and ethnicity research, general resources, and technology for family history. More detail on the classes and events is added as we get it.
Attendees also will have the opportunity to talk with expert presenters between sessions...and in one-on-one consultations. In addition, the schedule allows plenty of time to do personal research at the FamilySearch Library without missing any classes. The Library is particularly valuable because researchers have access to additional translators, and area experts and to many, many resources that are not available online or at other libraries.
A Welcome Reception with refreshments is included in the Conference fee and the last night Closing Plenary/Banquet ticket can be purchased as an option. The early-bird (July 7 or earlier) fee for the Conference is $180 (after the early-bird deadline $225), the Workshop Day is $75 (after the early-bird deadline $95). Register for the conference and events.
The Plaza Hotel hosts the FEEFHS Conference and offers a discounted rate for Conference attendees.
We hope to see you in Salt Lake City in August 2024 at the FEEFHS Annual Conference.
