FEEFHS Joins the International German Genealogy Partnership
FEEFHS is proud to announce that we have become a member of the International German Genealogy Partnership (IGGP).
The International German Genealogy Partnership’s mission is to facilitate German genealogy research globally as the internationally recognized federation of German genealogy organizations. The creation of the International German Genealogy Partnership grew from a desire to make a connection between societies in the United States and German speaking areas. It has since grown to include organizations worldwide that include a focus on Germanic genealogical research.
FEEFHS has always included a heavy Germanic emphasis as part of its scope, including modern Germany and Austria as well as the former German and Austrian Empire territories in Eastern Europe, German colonies throughout Eastern Europe, and Germans from Russia. At FEEFHS, we look forward to continuing our long-time association with societies that share an interest in Germanic family history research, as well as developing new relationships with other societies with the same interest. There will be opportunities for collaboration on projects and events which we hope will advance the study of Germanic genealogy.
IGGP held its inaugural conference in Minnesota in July 2017. If you did not get a change to attend, or would like to listen to presentations again, you can order audio recordings from Fleetwood Onsite Conference Recording.
