Salt Lake City, the “Crossroads of the West,” is known for being easily accessible by car, rail, bus, and air. It is also one of the easiest cities to navigate while visiting. Located in the center of the downtown area, the Plaza Hotel is a short walk to the Family History Library, shopping, restaurants, historical sights, and many event venues.

Downtown Salt Lake City has a wide variety of dining venues, from mouthwatering steak to fast food. Many restaurants are within walking distance of the conference hotel or accessible via lightrail (TRAX). The information below provides a handful of details. FEEFHS 2023 Conference Overview

Conference table in hotel lobbyRegistration is now open for the FEEFHS 2023 Annual Conference, Tuesday, August 1 to Friday, August 4. The conference will include in-person classes held exclusively in Salt Lake City and online content with live classes over Zoom and pre-recorded classes. Tuesday, Aug 1 is reserved for in-person workshops, with the main conference, both in-person and online, will be Wednesday, August 2 to Friday, August 4.

The 2023 Conference, held August 1 through August 4, 2023, will contain both In Person classes held exclusively in Salt Lake City, as well as Online content, which will be a mix between live classes over Zoom and pre-recorded classes.

Those who travel to Salt Lake City will have the opportunity to attend the various workshops, the banquet, listen to the keynote speaker, and receive personal consultation for free. Additionally, they will have access to exclusive classes not offered online and have access to all the online content.

DNA Strategies for Extending Your Family Tree

Come learn how to use DNA test results as evidence to help build your family tree. This class will provide an overview of DNA, the benefits, and tools of the various DNA testing sites, and then the steps and strategies for using DNA to solve research questions.

Notarial Records in Poland (Including Partitions)

Notary records predominantly contain agreements of each kind such as: Inheritance cases, Purchase-sale contracts, Premarital agreements, Wills / testaments, Guardianship cases etc. They are a great addition to family histories. They can answer many questions and can solve some genealogical issues.
